The lemmatools editorial team researches Indian personal-finance rules from primary sources — the Income Tax Department, RBI, EPFO, PFRDA, SEBI and India Post — and turns them into calculators and plain-language guides. Every formula ships with unit tests against published known values.

How we verify our numbers
- Primary sources only. Tax slabs, scheme rules and rates come from the Income Tax Department, RBI, EPFO, PFRDA, SEBI and India Post — each calculator links to its source.
- Tested formulas. Every calculation is a pure, open function covered by unit tests against published known values (for example, the ₹43,391 EMI on a ₹50L/8.5%/20-year loan, or SSY’s ₹71.8L maturity on ₹1.5L yearly deposits).
- Dated reviews. Each finance page shows a “Last updated” date. When a budget or rate notification changes a rule, the formula, the page and the date change together.
- Private by design. Calculations run entirely in your browser. Your inputs are never sent to a server.
